The app normally has an automatic deletion period configured for inspections. This can be important for privacy reasons, and also helps users keep their overview manageable.
Occasionally an inspection may be deleted by accident. To address this, we have introduced a "soft delete" option - inspections are not immediately removed permanently but are first marked for deletion, after which they are permanently deleted one week later.
A deleted inspection is shown in grey until it is permanently removed:
Both the adviser and the administrator can see that an inspection has been marked for deletion, and either can undo it.
Undoing a deletion is simple: press the green button at the bottom left of the inspection tile to see the option to restore it:
The soft delete window is limited to seven days, after which the inspection is permanently deleted. This keeps the inspection overview from becoming cluttered with items pending removal.
