The battery in the emergency button lasts a long time. The exact lifespan depends on actual usage, but will generally be between four and six months.
Is the emergency button no longer working? Do you also not see a red light when you press the button? If so, the battery is empty and needs to be replaced.
This is very straightforward. Montr can supply replacement batteries on request (type CR2032) along with a blue opening tool that allows you to quickly open the emergency button and replace the battery yourself. How? This is clearly demonstrated in the video below - it is very simple:

Do you use the emergency button infrequently? Store the button somewhere it will not move. The button contains a motion sensor - if it detects no movement for more than 24 hours, it will automatically switch itself off. This significantly extends the battery life. As soon as you pick up the emergency button it will automatically turn back on!
