The IoT Emergency Button is designed for situations where an employee does not want or need to use their smartphone for triggering an emergency alarm.
Unlike a BLE Emergency Button, the IoT version does not need to be paired with the Noodknop app. The button has its own cellular connection, allowing it to communicate with the alarm response centre independently.
This can be particularly useful when:
employees do not always carry a smartphone,
regular smartphone connectivity is an issue during work,
the organisation wants a simple, dedicated safety device,
or employees need an emergency button that works independently from their phone.
One button, no app required
The employee does not need to open an app, unlock their phone or establish a Bluetooth connection before triggering an alarm.
The Emergency Button is always on and ready to use, provided it has sufficient battery and network coverage.
How to use it?
Once the button has been woken up for the first time, it automatically connects to the mobile network and remains on 24/7. The employee only needs to charge it periodically.
In case of an emergency, the user simply presses the button twice within three seconds. The device then connects to the network, obtains its location and sends the alarm to the configured alarm response centre.
There is no need to open an app or use a smartphone to send the alarm.
