Edit photos directly in Report X

Add notes, highlight important details and cover sensitive information directly on your photos.

Who is this feature for?

The photo editing feature is designed for reporters who use photos as part of their inspections and need to make important details clear before completing their report.

Instead of using another application to edit a photo after taking it, reporters can now make simple adjustments directly in Report X. This is particularly useful when a photo needs some additional context or when something in the image needs to be clearly highlighted.

With the simple editing tool, reporters can:

  • Add text with comments to explain what is visible in the photo.

  • Mark important details that require attention.

  • Cover parts of a photo with a square when certain information should not be visible.

The feature is intentionally simple and easy to use, especially on a tablet. It provides the basic tools needed during an inspection without adding unnecessary complexity to the reporting workflow.

This means reporters can capture, clarify and document visual information in one place, without having to switch between different applications.

How to use it?

When taking a new photo or uploading an existing photo during an inspection, reporters can open the photo editing options directly in Report X.

The photo can then be quickly annotated using the available tools - for example, adding a short explanation, marking an important area or covering part of the image.

Once the editing is complete, the annotated photo can be used as part of the investigation and included in the resulting report.

The goal is simple: make photos more informative and useful as part of the inspection, without making the reporter's workflow more complicated.
