January brought several new features alongside the usual smaller optimisations and bug fixes.


Mandatory questions

It is now possible to mark specific questions in a questionnaire as mandatory. These questions must be answered before the report can be completed.

In the admin environment, each question in a questionnaire can be set as mandatory - this works for any question type (open, multiple choice, etc.):


During an inspection, a notice is shown on mandatory questions to indicate they must be answered:


If a mandatory question has not been answered when the user taps "Done", a warning is shown indicating what is missing and the button remains greyed out:



Default text in reports

It is sometimes useful to include a fixed piece of text in the report without displaying it as a question in the questionnaire - for example, a standard clause between sections or at the end.

This can now be added to a questionnaire in the admin environment using the "text field" option (grey block). The text will then appear in the generated PDF report:
