June brought several new features alongside the usual smaller optimisations and bug fixes, focused on offline working and synchronisation.
Completing an inspection while offline
It is now possible to complete an inspection even when the app is offline. Mobile internet connections can drop during a visit, and it is important to still be able to close out the inspection in those situations. This is now supported.
Improved sync mechanism
The synchronisation mechanism has been further improved. Previously, issues could occasionally arise when a report had not yet synced from a tablet but was already being opened on a desktop.
If a sync issue occurs, it is shown as a cloud icon next to the inspection in the overview. Tapping the cloud icon starts the sync. If the inspection is open on multiple devices, the app will ask which version should be kept.
The sync status can also be checked from the menu by pressing the "Syncing status" button:
