Some users work on a report on their iPad and then switch to a laptop or desktop to continue and complete it. This usually works without any issues.
Occasionally, however, the report is still syncing on the iPad while the user has already opened it on another device. This can confuse the app - which version is the correct one? When this happens, the app will display a sync conflict warning, shown as a blue cloud icon next to the report.
The fix is simple. Open the report and tap the "Version management" button on the right side of the page, then select the version you want to keep.
Make sure you do this on the device where you made the changes you want to preserve.
Checking the last sync time
It is also useful to know that you can check when a device last synced - both in the admin environment and in the app itself.
The last sync time gives you a clear picture of the current status and whether all your entered data has been saved. Note that the app writes every change immediately as you make it - text input, multiple-choice selections, photos, and so on - so the last sync time should normally be close to the time of your last input or the completion of the inspection.
The last sync time is shown in the top right of the first page of the inspection:
Administrators can also check the last sync time by clicking on the inspection in their overview. The time is shown in the top right of the page:
