Updating the app to a new version

How do I update the app?

We release new versions of the app regularly - sometimes with minor tweaks, sometimes with larger updates. Because Montr is a web application, we can roll out changes quickly and flexibly.

Normally the app will notify you when a new version is available. A blue bar will appear at the top of the screen with a link to update. Always do this straight away to make sure you're working with the latest version - it's fine to update even if you're in the middle of an inspection.

If you don't see this notification but know a new version is available, updating manually is straightforward:

In a web browser - press Ctrl + Shift + R to force a refresh.

On a smartphone or iPad (installed as an app) - close the app by swiping it away (swipe the app tile upwards as shown in the screenshot below), then reopen it. The update link will appear immediately.
