Even if you don't use the emergency button every day, it is important to periodically test the button and stay familiar with it β even if you use it less frequently over time.
To remind users of this and to emphasise its importance, we offer our customers the option to enable 'reminders'. If a colleague has not logged in to the emergency button app for more than six weeks, they will receive an email asking them to log in again, connect the emergency button, and run a test. Simple, right?
If the user does not respond to this, a reminder will be sent by SMS one week later, again asking them to log in and test the button. The periodic reminders will continue to be sent until the user has logged in again.
Users can also temporarily pause these notifications themselves - for example, if they are going on leave. This can be paused for up to eight weeks and can be done by the user in the settings.
