Version number, report formatting, photo downloads, copying questionnaires - updates January - February '25

A great start to the year with a range of new updates!

We continue to develop the app rapidly based on user feedback and requests. Have ideas for improvements? Let us know at helpdesk@montr.nl.

Version number

The app now uses a version number instead of a build number. Since we sometimes release multiple updates in quick succession, a version number is a much clearer indicator. You will find it in the same place as the previous build number. The first version number was 2.0.1 - though that has long since been superseded.

PDF report improvements

Several optimisations have been made to the PDF report - in short, less whitespace and better text and line wrapping. The full details are described in a separate article.

Create an inspection directly from a new address

Previously, you had to create an address first and then start an inspection separately. This is no longer necessary - both can now be done in one step. When creating an address, simply select the "Create report" option and the inspection will start immediately.

Downloading photos

A long-requested feature is now available: photos taken during a visit can be downloaded separately. After completing a report, a "Download photos" option is shown.

Individual photos can also be downloaded directly at the question level by pressing the download button on the photo:

Copying questionnaires

Administrators can now copy existing questionnaires - a valuable time-saver when creating new but similar questionnaires. To do so, go to the questionnaires section and press the yellow "Copy" button, give the copy a name, and save it.

Smaller optimisations

Questions are no longer shown under the first heading (address details) in an inspection. This overview added little value and was often confusing.

An issue where updates occasionally caused a white screen on startup has also been resolved in version 2.1.3.
