Many users of the emergency button find it convenient to close the emergency button app at the end of the working day or the start of the weekend. That way, they can be sure the emergency button cannot be accidentally activated.
How do you close the app?
For Android this is straightforward - go to the 'settings' button in the emergency button app and press the blue button labelled 'Close app'.
For iOS this works slightly differently but is just as easy. 'Swipe' the open app upwards - you will now see an overview of all open apps — then swipe the emergency button app further upwards. The app is now closed. See also:
Important to know:
- You don't need to log out! In fact, it's better if you don't. If you log out, you'll need to log back in later, which you want to avoid. Simply closing the app is sufficient.
- Do not disconnect from the emergency button - this is not necessary. By simply closing the app, the connection is broken automatically. The next time you open the app, it will immediately and automatically reconnect to your emergency button when it is nearby.
