In the event of aggression at the office, the fastest help comes from colleagues who are nearby. With the Team Alert feature, a single press of the Emergency Button can alert both the Alarm Response Center and a designated group of colleagues at the same time.
The feature can be extended with Follow-up, enabling the team to automatically determine who will take responsibility for responding to the alarm. This information is also shared with both colleagues and the Alarm Response Center.
This feature is optional and can be enabled for each organization individually.
Who is this feature for?
This feature is especially valuable for organizations whose employees work:
in consultation or meeting rooms,
at fixed office locations,
in shared buildings or municipal offices,
or in teams where colleagues can provide in-person assistance within a few minutes.
When an emergency alarm is activated, the Alarm Response Center can be alerted immediately, allowing external emergency services to be called in if necessary. Colleagues are alerted at the same time, enabling them to intervene much more quickly than if they had to wait for the police or other external emergency responders.
This is particularly effective in situations such as:
a threatening conversation in a consultation room,
escalating behavior at a reception desk,
or an incident elsewhere on your premises.
With the Team Alert Follow-up feature, all designated colleagues receive the alert by telephone and SMS as usual. In addition, the first colleague to confirm the alarm using the acceptance link in the SMS becomes the responding colleague. The rest of the team can see who is handling the situation. This lets the entire team know that someone is responding to the emergency and prevents the alarm from being ignored. The Alarm Response Center receives the same information, allowing it to contact the responding colleague directly if necessary. This prevents multiple colleagues from responding unnecessarily and makes coordination clearer during stressful situations.
The feature works particularly well with fixed locations configured in the Backoffice app. These locations only need to be entered once. Users can then quickly select them in the Emergency Button app or link them to a fixed IoT emergency button. When an alarm is activated, both the alarm monitoring center and colleagues receive a notification containing the location.
How does it work in daily practice?
Team Alert is configured for each department or group. Administrators can create departments in the Backoffice and assign users to the appropriate one.
Once Team Alert has been enabled for a department, all users assigned to that department automatically receive a Team Alert when a colleague in the same department activates an emergency alarm. When an alarm is activated:
the ARC can be alerted at the same time, depending on your organization’s settings,
all colleagues in the department receive a telephone call informing them that a colleague needs assistance,
and they receive an SMS containing the alarm’s location and a link showing the exact location on a map.
If the Follow-up feature is enabled, the SMS also contains a link for taking responsibility for the alarm. The first colleague to open the acceptance link in the SMS is automatically designated as the responding colleague. This information is then shared with:
the other team members, so everyone knows who is handling the follow-up,
and the ARC, so it can contact the responding colleague directly if necessary.
This provides a clear and coordinated response process without requiring the employee who activated the alarm to take any additional action.
