Granting location permission

It is important that you always grant the emergency button app permission to access your phone's location at all times.

This is not because the app tracks your whereabouts throughout the day — it does not do this.

However, when the emergency button is connected, the app needs continuous access to your phone's precise location. Your phone tracks your location from minute to minute, all day long and with high accuracy.

When you trigger an emergency alert, the emergency button app retrieves your most recent and current location from your phone and sends this GPS location along with the alert.

That is why the app always requires permission to "use" your location.

During activation and installation you can grant this permission straight away. On iPhone, the device will later ask whether the app may always have access to your location — select "Always allow" when prompted.



On Android, you can grant this permission immediately during setup..
