Installing the emergency button

You will receive an email with an activation link to create your password.
Download the Emergency Button app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

After installing the emergency button app on your phone, log in with your email address and the password you just created.

Once logged in, the app will search for nearby emergency buttons. You will see an overview of detected emergency buttons that can be connected to.
The specific ID can be found on the back of the emergency button.

You will also receive a prompt to grant the app permission to access your location. It is important that you do this. The app requires access to your location at all times — not to track your whereabouts, but so that when you trigger an emergency alert, your current GPS location can be sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The operator can then see where the alert was sent from.

Once the emergency button is connected, the app and button are ready for use. You will then see the screen below:
