Selecting an address or location

It is important to record your location in the app wherever possible — either where you are or where you are going.

When an emergency alert is triggered, the operator can see not only your GPS location but also the location you entered manually. This is important for getting a clearer picture of your situation at the time of the alert. A GPS location is valuable, but if you are in a flat or a meeting room on the third floor of a large office building, emergency responders may not have enough information to reach you quickly.

You can therefore enter your location in the app before a client visit. There are three options:

  1. Enter a postcode and house number

  2. Manually enter a street name, house number, and city (by typing or using voice input)

  3. Select from pre-saved fixed locations such as a meeting room, specific office space, etc.

This works very simply as shown in the video below:

If you do not use fixed locations, this option will not be shown.

When entering an address manually, the street name, house number, and city are sufficient. Minor spelling errors are corrected automatically by our system. However, always verify that the selected address matches the actual address you are visiting!

You can enter the address by voice using the microphone on your keyboard.

If you would like to use the fixed locations option, please let us know.

Selecting fixed locations such as meeting rooms is also particularly valuable in combination with the group alert feature. When an emergency alert is triggered, your colleagues will immediately receive an SMS and phone message stating that you have sent an emergency alert from, for example - "Meeting room Green." They can then respond straight away.
