The first half of 2025 saw a number of updates and additions to the emergency button app. Alongside routine maintenance and smaller optimisations (such as toggles in the settings), several more significant improvements were made.
Address autocomplete
The app now remembers addresses entered over the past three months and autocompletes them when the same address is entered manually again on a repeat visit. It looks like this:
Addresses not visited within the last three months are automatically removed.
Alarm centre phone number
The alarm centre's phone number is now always shown in settings. It is important to save this number in your contacts so you can always recognise when the alarm centre is calling. A shortcut to save the number directly to your contacts is included. Once saved, it also makes it easier to override silent mode when the alarm centre calls (instructions for Android and iPhone).
If your organisation uses a codeword to identify you as a user, this is also now shown in settings:
Note: the details shown in the screenshot above are for illustration purposes only. We are integrated with multiple alarm centres - always check your own app for the correct information.
Active usage tracking
Based on earlier user research and specific user requests, we have introduced new features to more actively encourage real use of the emergency button. We now prompt every user to complete at least one practice alarm per quarter.
Quarterly user overview for managers
Department managers can now receive a quarterly user overview - a concise but clear summary showing the number of users, when each user last logged in, who has triggered an emergency alert, and when each employee last completed a practice alarm.
