Help! The emergency button won't connect

Resolving a lost connection between the emergency button and the app

We have recently been receiving occasional reports from users that the emergency button and app are no longer connecting. The following screen is displayed:

The solution is very simple. Tap "continue anyway" - even if this message appears a second time. The connection will then be restored. See the screenshot below.

If this does not help, a reset of the connection between the app and the emergency button is necessary. This is also very straightforward and is briefly explained in the video below:

"Disconnect the emergency button in the settings, then close the app and reopen it to restore the connection."

You may be wondering why this is suddenly happening. As a supplier we are affected by updates to phone operating systems that relate to how external devices connected via Bluetooth are managed - such as an emergency button. These updates sometimes cause very specific issues like this one, where a lost connection is no longer restored automatically.

We are actively working on expanding the app, and these optimisations are being included in that work. We hope that this article will no longer be relevant in the near future.
